The best Sleeping Bear Dunes Hikes

Dune Climb

The first part of the trail is really popular and known as the dune climb but not many people make it all the way to the shore of Lake Michigan...

Empire Bluff

This is probably the most popular trail in the park.  It's a short and easy trail to an amazing viewpoint.  Not to be missed!

Old Indian

This relatively unknown trail might not be spectacular in itself but it gives access to a pristine beach area that you often have to yourself.

Sleeping Bear Point

This trail will get your heart pumping but in return, you will be rewarded with wide-open vistas and complete peacefullness.

Alligator Hill

You will need to conquer some altimeters but the views are worth it.  There are 2 beautiful vistas, one on Glenn lake and one on the Manitou Islands.

Platte Plains

With a good mix of open fields, wooded areas, and pristine lakes the Platte Plains area has what it takes to please even the most demanding hikers.

Shaugher Hill

A beautiful hike through a serene birch maple forest.  This trail is especially beautiful in autumn when the trees show their colorful foliage.

See you soon...
